Norder Band AG as the biggest company of the Glave Group offers service and solutions in the areas of cutting to width and length, surface treatment and edge finish for stainless steel (coils) according to customer’s wishes. NB has coils in stock in many different steel grades, surface conditions and in a wide thickness range. The processing is done on the processing machines accurately to size and just-in-time.
Next to five one-layer-winding machines Norder Band AG operates three cutting and winding lines that can cut and wind up to 20 spools in parallel each. Thus, there are fewer welded joints needed than on the one-layer spoolers and upon processing, a continuous production flow is made possible through the additional running meters.
Right from the start these factors have played a decisive role at NB: new ideas, innovative concepts, encompassing performance, high motivation, consistent customer orientation – and maximum quality. Norder Band AG understands and lives this term in a comprehensive way. This includes first class primary material, highly trained personnel, up-to-date processing machines, effective equipment for all departments, and of course a pronounced reliability and adherence to delivery dates
In order to ensure this, all products and services are subjected to strict and continuous quality control measures. So Norder Band AG began early to build up and realize a quality management system according to ISO 9001. As a logical consequence a QM-manual was issued to describe this system and the company applied for an official certification and received theq quality management certificate according to ISO 9001 as one of the first German service centres for stainless steel processing. In April 2001 the certificate was granted for the first time by the Certification Company TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH. Since then the certificate was approved without interruption.
Since April 2019 Norder Band AG is certified by the ZDH Zert in the composite of the Glave Gruppe. Besides of the quality management system Norder Band AG also has a certified environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 and an energy management according to DIN EN ISO 50001:2011.
